Devi’s Falls, locally known as Patale Chhango, is one of the most iconic waterfalls in Pokhara, Kaski District, Gandaki Province. The water plunges into a tunnel at the bottom, creating a mysterious underground passage. The site carries a tragic history from the 20th century when a Swiss woman drowned due to a sudden rise in water level, leading her father to name the fall “David’s Falls.” Over time, the name evolved into “Devi’s Falls,” now recognized worldwide.
