Rasuwa, Nuwakot & Dhading Flood Response
Following personal on-site field assessments in flood-affected districts, the government has intensified rescue, relief, and infrastructure restoration efforts. A total of 13,295 security personnel, aerial rescue missions, and emergency financial allocations have been deployed to safeguard citizens and restore critical connectivity.

🚁 Search, Rescue, and Emergency Relief Operations
- Personnel Breakdown: Total 13,295 security personnel active on the ground, including 7,250 Nepal Police, 4,200 Nepal Army, and 1,845 Armed Police Force officers.
- Aerial Evacuations: 69 flights operated today, rescuing 573 individuals, with primary priority given to patients, pregnant/postpartum women, children, and the elderly. Private helicopters have also been integrated under government command.
- Immediate Financial Aid: Emergency relief funds of NPR 1 crore each dispatched to Rasuwa and Nuwakot, alongside NPR 50 lakh to Dhading.
- Humanitarian Packs: 10 trucks of food and non-food essentials dispatched, complemented by Red Cross supplies slated to support approximately 30,000 individuals.
🏥 Healthcare Mobilization & Telecom Restoration
- Free Medical Care: The Health Emergency Operation Center (HEOC) is fully active. Major federal and regional hospitals (Bir, Trauma Center, TUTH, Patan, Civil, and Police) are on standby with dedicated emergency bed allocations. Treatment for all injured citizens is completely free.
- Telecom Continuity: With over 70 mobile towers down across affected sectors, technical teams are airlifting portable generators and batteries. Free communication reliefs—including daily 2GB data, free SMS, and voice calls via Nepal Telecom and Ncell—have been activated.
- Fuel & Supplies Reserve: Ample fuel reserves (diesel, petrol, and aviation fuel) are maintained and continuously dispatched to keep emergency transport and helicopters functioning smoothly.
⚠️ High Alert Warning for River Corridors
Due to continuous saturation and flood risks along the Bhote Koshi and Trishuli rivers, residents and travelers across Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha, and Chitwan are strongly urged to maintain high alertness and stay clear of vulnerable riverbanks.
