One of the most stunning tourist destinations in central Nepal’s Makwanpur District is Daman. At an elevation of 2,322 meters (7,620 feet), it is located on the Tribhuvan Highway around 77 kilometers (48 mi) southwest of Kathmandu, midway to Hetauda.

One of the best Himalayan views is found at Daman, which on a clear day stretches from Mount Everest in the east to Dhaulagiri in the west.

It is stated that Lord Shiva took a break here while grieving and weeping over the death of his beloved bride Satidevi. Being extremely thirsty he merely smashed the big rock with his weapon(trisula) and water flowed out.

As it is so still, we can watch the water flowing between the big boulders. Thulo Ekadashi and Fagu Purnima are the two days when the major event occurs.
