General Information

Beautiful Jalbire is a village in Nepal’s Sindhupalchowk district. It is conveniently reachable by road and is situated about 80 kilometres northeast of Kathmandu. By car, the trip from Kathmandu to Jalbire takes around 3 hours.

Geographically, Jalbire is located on the banks of the Sunkoshi River at an altitude of 760 meters above sea level. It is the ideal location for environment lovers and adventure seekers because it is surrounded by verdant hills and picturesque scenery. Jalbire experiences good weather all year round with average highs of 15 to 30 degrees Celsius.

Natural hot springs in Jalbire are renowned for their purported therapeutic qualities. Tourists seeking a restful and refreshing experience frequently visit the hot springs, which are situated along the Sunkoshi River. The river, which is crystal clean and gives breathtaking views of the surrounding hills, is also a great place for swimming for visitors.

The Jalbire Waterfall is another another well-liked Jalbire attraction. The waterfall, which is about 20 minutes’ walk from the hamlet, is really stunning. Because of the waterfall’s surrounding verdant woodlands, it is a wonderful location for trekking and picnics.

Jalbire provides a look into the regional Newari culture for people who are interested in cultural encounters. The village’s traditional Newari homes and temples, which are renowned for their distinctive architecture and elaborate wood carvings, are open for visitors to explore.

Jalbire is a lovely place to stroll about as well. Several hiking routes in the hamlet provide breathtaking views of the hills and valleys around. The 28-kilometer Sindhupalchok International Trail Race, which begins at the suspension bridge in Jalbire, is one of the most well-known trails in the area. Visitors frequently stop at the bridge to take pictures and take in the view. We got the chance to take part in the race while we were in Jalbire, and it was a genuinely life-changing occasion. The management of the race and the team’s assistance were first-rate. We heartily encourage going to Jalbire to get the opportunity to experience the region’s natural beauty and partake in outdoor sports.

Nepal Tourism Hub recommends Jalbire as a must-visit location for everyone interested in experiencing the culture and natural beauty of Nepal. It’s the perfect place for adventure and relaxation thanks to its breathtaking hot springs, waterfall, and natural surrounds.
