General Information

Lainchaur Park is a recently constructed public park located in Kathmandu, Nepal. It covers an area of 54921 square feet and is situated adjacent to the DDC building and in front of the NCELL Tower. The park was constructed as part of NCELL’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, in partnership with the Kathmandu Metro Ward 26. The artificial grass and decoration work was carried out by Kaya Sports, a renowned decoration company based in Pokhara.

The park is predominantly designed to cater to the needs of the local community and visitors alike. The main attractions of the park include a Children’s play area, Futsal ground, and Basketball court. The Futsal ground is a major attraction for sports enthusiasts in the area, and it is managed and maintained by Kaya Sports. The playground is equipped with sophisticated facilities and has been operational for the past month, attracting many young people to the area.

In addition to the sports facilities, the park also features traditionally decorated resting spots around the park, providing visitors with a serene and peaceful environment to relax in. The park’s design incorporates elements of Nepali culture and traditional architecture, which makes it an exciting and unique destination for visitors.

According to locals, the park is expected to be managed by NCELL for the next two years, after which it will be handed over to the local community. This move is likely to enhance community participation in the management and development of the park.

Nepal Tourism Hub recommends Lainchaur Park as an excellent destination for visitors looking to experience a unique blend of Nepali culture and modern recreational facilities. With its sophisticated playground, sports facilities, and traditional resting spots, the park provides an excellent setting for families and individuals alike to enjoy.

Contact Information: It is recommended to contact NCELL or Kathmandu Metro Ward 26 for further information on the park.
