Known also as Chimadi Lake, Barju Taal is a picturesque location in eastern Nepal’s Sunsari District’s Barju Rural Municipality. This pristine lake, which covers an area of around 152 bigahas and is a part of the Kosi Tappu Wildlife Reserve, is a home for a wide variety of flora and fauna.

Visitors must travel around 9 kilometres to go to Barju Gaunpalika from ‘s Bargachhi Chowk in the west. When travelers arrive at their destination, they are greeted with the quiet beauty of the lake, which is surrounded by verdant hills and a tranquil environment.
