Salyan is renowned for its gorgeous natural scenery, breathtaking Himalayan mountain views, and varied cultural history. Several Hindu temples can be found in the district, including the Devi Temple at Khairabang in Sarda Municipality as well as the Shiva Temples in Chhayachhetra and Laxmipur. There are about nine temples in the region, and this one is a must-see for tourists who want to learn about the area’s cultural and religious history.

In addition to the temples, Salyan offers a number of other tourist hotspots. The region is renowned for its beautiful waterfalls, especially the Hima waterfall, a favorite spot for hikers and nature enthusiasts. A number of stunning lakes and rivers, ideal for fishing and other water sports, can be found in the neighborhood. White water rafting is a well-liked activity on the lovely Sarda River, which runs through the neighborhood.

Salyan’s lovely woodlands, which are home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, are another reason why tourists travel there. The area is home to many endangered plant and animal species and has a high biodiversity. Travelers can appreciate the area’s natural splendor by hiking through the area’s forests and wildlife refuges.

Salyan’s population is diversified in terms of ethnicity, including members of the Brahmin, Chhetri, Thakuri, Magar, and Dalit ethnic groups among them. Those who want to learn about the local culture should definitely visit the district, which hosts a number of festivals and fairs throughout the year.

There may be an entrance fee for some attractions in the area. It is advised to call in advance to confirm the specific attractions’ opening and closing timings.

Visitors can go to the local tourism board’s or the local government’s official website for more information about Salyan. As an alternative, people can get in touch with the regional tourist officer or send an email to info@salyantourism.gov.np.
